8 Tips to Prepare for a Branding Photoshoot

Perfecting Your Branding Session

The photos on your website speak the loudest when it comes to telling your story and expertise to your clients or audience. Here’s how to make sure your branding photos are sending the best message possible.

NO. 1

Communicate and Plan

I will ask you to take note on where you want the images to go and to write a few words about who you are and what you represent. You are more than a pretty face. 😃 Let’s find out how the right images support your business and goals.

NO. 2

Talk To Your Team

How you dress should be explicitly communicated to your team. Even if you are a team of two, discuss if you are going biz/casual, suit jackets/or polos, skirts/pants suits. You don’t need to match exactly, but level of dress should be on the same page for similar levels of employees.

NO. 3

Bring Props

Especially for my Branding Shoots, bring the items that are unique to you and your business. Bring items that help sell your product or vibe. That’s a good one.... support the vibe.

NO. 4

Don’t Worry About Posing

If have hired me or any other competent photographer, you should not need to worry about posing. Pre-shoot consultation is part of all of my packages so I know the vibe we are going for and I will direct you accordingly.

NO. 5

Get Rest

In the final days leading up to your shoot, proper rest is paramount. You want to minimize bags under eyes, a sleepy face, and have energy to let your personality shine!

 NO. 6

Drink water

Water does wonders for your skin and energy levels as well. Start a few days before for best results.

NO. 7

Have Fun!

I do my best to connect with people and encourage a fun and a light atmosphere. I encourage you to embody the confidence and positive spirit that you want your photos to convey. Plan for your shoot but don’t take it too seriously. Be yourself and have fun!

NO. 8

Hire a Competent Photographer

Gear isn’t everything, but having the proper tools and experience goes a long way in making sure you are comfortable, prepared, and get the results you are looking for.
